La Bohème was inspired by the brilliant opera by Puccini. It's my favorite opera between the music and the characters and the beautiful sad plot.
I dyed this using a multi-layered technique, and the colors are so deep and rich. The colors are gold, lilac, spring green, and a bit of blue, but the burgundy rose predominates.
I dyed it on my Dream Sock yarn base, which may be the absolute softest thing ever created. Think of stroking a purring kitten or soft bunny and you'll have an idea of how soft this yarn is. It's made of baby alpaca, silk, and cashmere. Since there's no wool, it may work for someone who is sensitive to wool too.
Please be aware that Dream Sock is NOT a superwash yarn so it can felt. Please wash by hand in cold water and allow it to air dry.
The yarn is priced per skein.

The last photo shows a wonderful trio of colorways. From left to right there's Pebbles on the Beach, Smaug's Treasure, and La Bohème. Wouldn't these make a fabulous shawl?
