La Bohème was inspired by the brilliant opera by Puccini. It's my favorite opera with the amazing music, the great characters, and the beautiful sad plot.
I dyed this using a multi-layered technique, and the colors are so deep and rich. The colors include lilac, spring green, gold, sunset orange, blue, and burgundy rose.
I dyed it on my Cashmere Sock yarn base, which is made of 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon. It's a wonderfully luxurious and soft yarn great for everything from shawls and sweaters to fabulous socks that cuddle your feet.
La Bohème on Cashmere Sock
435 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% superwash merino / 10% cashmere / 10% nylon
Care: Wash by hand cold and air dry.
La Bohème would look great with Burgundy Rose, Eggplant, Renaissance Blue, Sunset Orange, Epiphany, and Smaug's Treasure.
I included a couple photos of a hat I knit using La Bohème on a different yarn base to give you an idea of how it can work up.
MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. It smells lovely and is a natural moth deterrent. Just let me know if you would like one in the note to seller when you check out.
