This yarn was inspired by the main character in Sigrid Undset's wonderful trilogy. The novels are set in late medieval Norway. The main character, Kristin, makes a terrible mistake but goes on to do much good in spite of it.

Like the character of Kristin, the yarn has a pleasing complexity to it. I dyed it using rose, peach, and lilac on a background of gray. I used my Splashed and Speckled method to dye these. That means each skein has the same colors in approximately the same proportion, but the placement of each color will be a little different on each one. The great thing about that is it means the chances of the yarn pooling are pretty minimal. I do recommend switching skeins every few rows if you prefer a more homogeneous look.

I dyed it on my Squoosh DK yarn base, which is a super soft and squishy yarn made of 100% superwash merino. It comes in big 4 ounce skeins.

100% extra-fine superwash merino
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.

The last photo shows the entire original eight colorways I dyed on Squoosh DK. From left to right the colorways are La Bohème, Burgundy Rose, Kristin Lavransdatter, A Little Princess, Perfect Purple, Nebula, Annunciation Blue, and Monet's Cathedral. Any and all of them can be used together.

As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order.  Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
