I spun this yarn from two of my Kristin Lavransdatter art batts. It's a really interesting construction called a Hawser yarn. I spun 4 different plies and then plied two plies together but in the same direction I spun them, which is very unusual. I did the same thing with the other two plies, and then I spun the two 2-ply yarns together in the opposite direction.
The result is a very strong and very stretchy yarn that's great for hat brims, sweater cuffs, and anything that needs some extra stretch.
The yarn is made of merino wool, mulberry silk, baby alpaca, and a bit of sparkly angelina.
The last photo shows the art batts I used. The art batts are also available in my shop.
