This is such a fun colorway but one with some meaning too. The idea for this colorway came after taking the time to scroll through my Facebook feed and seeing so many different perspectives about the current situation in the world. There are a few things that are truly "black and white" in this world, but very few indeed. I have found over the years that most things are a little more complicated, and the world would be a better place if we would take the time to listen to different people's perspectives. That's what this colorway is all about.
Originally, I dyed half of the colorway gray and half speckled, but I recently updated it to be an assigned pooling colorway, so now one-quarter of the skein is gray, and the other three-quarters are speckled in the same speckles as Party Like It's 2023.
This would work beautifully with any of Dawn Barker's assigned pooling colorways or my own assigned pooling pattern, The Long Way Round.
used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
