This is such a fun colorway but one with some meaning too. I dyed half of It's Complicated a a dark gray. I left the other half white but added a multitude of different colored speckles.
The idea for this colorway came after taking the time to scroll through my Facebook feed and seeing so many different perspectives about the current situation in the world. There are a few things that are truly "black and white" in this world, but very few indeed. I have found over the years that most things are a little more complicated, and the world would be a better place if we would take the time to listen to different people's perspectives. That's what this colorway is all about.
It's also going to be so much fun to knit or crochet or weave with! Depending on your pattern, you'll get thin stripes of dark gray followed by thin stripes of white with all the speckles.
I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
It's Complicated on Feather Sock
490 yards / 3.5 oz / 2 plies
85% extra-soft non-superwash merino / 15% silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
It's Complicated would look great with Sunflower, Freedom Blue, and Lilac.
