Hope was a club colorway I created based on the painting by George Watts back at the very beginning of COVID for my yarn and fiber clubs. As we find ourselves yet again--or perhaps still--in so much need of hope, I decided to make this a regular colorway. I have included the painting as one of the photos below.
I dyed it on my Buttery Soft DK base, which is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra-soft 19.5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name!
Like most, this colorway is a little more muted on Buttery Soft DK than on many of my other yarn bases due to the alpaca and silk content.
Please note that this is NOT a superwash yarn. That means it can felt with agitation and changes in temperature, so it should be washed by hand in cool water. On the other hand, it can be fulled.
