Girl with a Pearl Earring was inspired by the Vermeer's painting by the same name. It was originally my September 2019 club colorway and one of my favorites from my art-inspired club, so I decided to make it one of my regular colorways.
I dyed it on So Silky Sock, which gives the yarn a wonderful sheen. It's also really strong and really soft.
Girl with a Pearl Earring on So Silky Sock
437 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 Plies
50% Superwash Merino/50% Mulberry Silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Girl with a Pearl Earring would look wonderful with North Wind or Rosy-Fingered Dawn.
The last photos show a hat I knit up in this colorway using Buttery Soft DK. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
