Galadriel's Gift is heavily speckled and will be an adventure to knit with every stitch different. The colors are sky blue, bright blue, spring green, lavender, white, a bit of yellow, a bit of chartreuse, and an abundance of blue and purple speckles.
As for the name, the colors remind me of a stunningly beautiful garden, and that made me think of the box of soil and seeds that Galadriel gave Sam in The Lord of the Rings which he used to replenish the Shire.
I dyed it on Super Sport, which is a wonderfully squishy 80/20 superwash merino/nylon yarn perfect for hats, shawls, sweaters, and heavier weight socks for winter. It is a nice round 3-ply with great stitch definition.
