Field of Lavender was inspired by a beautiful photograph I saw of lavender growing in France. The lavender itself takes the forefront, and back behind are tall yellow-green grasses and a country road with a red Citroen driving through it. Still further back is a forest with green trees. All these colors are in these scarves.
These scarves are the perfect way to complete an outfit all year long. They are made of habotai silk, and I have hand-dyed each one. Each one is unique--even more so than hand-dyed yarn.
These scarves measure 7 inches wide and 70 inches in length and can be wrapped two or three times or knotted and worn in so many different ways. There are lots of great videos on youtube on different ways to style these.
They are great to travel with too since they fold up to almost nothing and weight less than an ounce, and they make wonderful, unique gifts. They are so soft!
I recommend hand washing in cold water and hanging to dry. If you like it smooth and crisp, you can use an iron or a steamer to smooth out any wrinkles.
