This listing is for one drop spindle. It is nicely balanced light drop spindle that is great for spinning fingering-weight and sport-weight yarns. It weighs just over once ounce.
If you are a new spinner, I recommend starting with top rather than art batts, and my favorite fibers for beginners are Polwarth and BFL because they have a longer staple length that is easier to spin, but they are still next-to-skin soft, unlike many other "beginning" fibers.
Once you have mastered those, try your hand at some merino top. After that, the world is your oyster, and you'll be ready to try wool/silk blends as well as art batts. I'm always available to help with suggestions.
You can find both my top and art batts here.
If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to sign up for my weekly newsletter. You'll find secret sales for subscribers only, interviews with pattern designers, tutorials, and announcement for new product lines. You'll also receive a one-time coupon code by email as soon as you sign up.
Happy fiber artistry!
