This listing is for 2 ounces of dehaired baby camel down. It is similar in texture to baby alpaca but even softer. The color is a soft fawn or beige, and this is down, not top. That means it's a pile of lovely fluff.
Camel down has a short staple length of 1 to 2 inches, so it's best used as an add-in for art batts or rolags if you are spinning it. It should felt very nicely as well.
It has a very low micron count of between 17 and 19 microns, which means it is very soft. To give you a comparison, the merino I use varies between 18 and 21 microns, and anything below 30 microns is considered next-to-skin soft. I'm a little particular in that regard, so I prefer to stay below 25 microns.
