Crab Nebula was created and dyed by Joseph. He used a beautiful photograph of the nebula from the Hubble Space Telescope to create first art batts and now yarn.
The colors are so beautiful together--just the right blend of soft and bright. They include a little soft yellow, fuchsia, lavender, eggplant, several shades of blue, and bright chartreuse to add a little pop.
He dyed Crab Nebula on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
Crab Nebula on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% extra-soft superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Crab Nebula would look great with Brilliant Blue, Eggplant, Marigold, and Margarita.
I included two photos of a hat I knit using this colorway on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how the colorway can work up.
