CRAB NEBULA Hand-Dyed Yarn on Stained Glass Sock

Regular price $28.00

Crab Nebula was created by Joseph. He used a beautiful photograph of the nebula from the Hubble Space Telescope to create first art batts and now yarn.

The colors are so beautiful together--just the right blend of soft and bright. They include a little soft yellow, fuchsia, lavender, eggplant, several shades of blue, and bright chartreuse to add a little pop.

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
