Cosette was inspired by one of my favorite novels and musicals too--Les Miserables.
After the death of her mother, Jean Valjean finds and adopts Cosette, and the two of them make life not only bearable but joyful for one another. Cosette is pure goodness and sweetness.
I dyed her colorway with purple for self-sacrificing love, pink for gentleness, blue for loyalty to both Jean Valjean and later her betrothed, and white for purity.
I dyed Cosette on Sock Perfection, which is made of extra-soft superwash merino as well as nylon.
Cosette on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Cosette would look wonderful with Jean Valjean and Javert. It would also look wonderful with Lilac and North Wind.
The last photo shows a swatch I knit up in this colorway using Cashmere Sock. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
