Contentment is in that wonderful nebulous zone between blue and green. When I look at it in bright light, I'm convinced it's a medium blue. When I look at it in shadows, I"m sure it's a light teal green. Either way, it's just a lovely soothing color that is easy to wear. I'm so excited about it, probably because it took quite a bit to get the color just like the one I had in mind.
I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
