This wonderful skein of handspun yarn is made of soft merino and bamboo and a bit of sparkly gold and blue angelina. The colors remind me of clowns at the circus.
This is a big 115 g or 4 ounce skein with 72 yards. It's in the super bulky or chunky range at an average of 6 wraps per inch. The colors include bright red, yellow, orange, soft blue, mossy green, chartreuse, and bright blue.
I think this would make a fantastic newborn hat. In fact, take a look at the PATTERN IDEAS section below for a few possibilities.

I had the privilege of interviewing Tracie of PetalKnits for my blog a few months ago. She has some wonderful patterns for super bulky yarn and babies that would be great for this yarn. Here are a few of them:

Each skein of yarn is spun or dyed by me with loving care and contains a label with the yarn facts shown above. Your yarn is wrapped in tissue paper and shipped promptly, making a great presentation if you are giving it as a gift to your favorite fiber artist--even if that happens to be you!
Unless otherwise specified, your yarn will come as a hank, which is basically a large loop. This is the best way to store yarn because there’s no tension being placed on it. Before you begin to use it, however, you will need to wind it into a ball or cake or you will end up with a tangled mess. The best way to do this is with a swift and ball winder. However, you can use the arms of a patient friend or just put your yarn over two dining chairs back to back and wind it into a ball by hand. If you don’t have a swift and you plan to use the yarn fairly soon, I would be happy to wind your yarn into a cake for you at no extra charge. Just mention it in your note to seller when you check out.
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
