I spun this soft, luxurious handspun yarn from my Cherry Blossom art batts. It contains soft merino, springy polwarth wool, lovely mulberry silk and truly luxurious muga silk along with a bit of angelina for some shimmer.
When I was creating this colorway, I really studied a cherry tree in full bloom. I never cease to be amazed by how many colors are in things when you look closely, and this was certainly no exception. I had to hand-dye the light brown color to get it right as I couldn't find that color anywhere.
This is just barely in the super bulky range at 6 wraps per inch. It would make a wonderful small project by itself or part of a larger project if you prefer. It would be great as part of a saori weaving creation.

Each skein of yarn is spun or dyed by me with loving care and contains a label with the yarn facts shown above. Your yarn is wrapped in tissue paper and shipped promptly, making a great presentation if you are giving it as a gift to your favorite fiber artist--even if that happens to be you!
Unless otherwise specified, your yarn will come as a hank, which is basically a large loop. This is the best way to store yarn because there’s no tension being placed on it. Before you begin to use it, however, you will need to wind it into a ball or cake or you will end up with a tangled mess. The best way to do this is with a swift and ball winder. However, you can use the arms of a patient friend or just put your yarn over two dining chairs back to back and wind it into a ball by hand. If you don’t have a swift and you plan to use the yarn fairly soon, I would be happy to wind your yarn into a cake for you at no extra charge. Just mention it in your note to seller when you check out.
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
