CARIBBEAN SUNSET Indie-Dyed Yarn on Sparkly Merino Sock

Caribbean Sunset was inspired by the idea of a sunset over the ocean. About one third of the skein is dyed in shades of blue and green to represent the water. The opposite third is dyed in all the colors of the sunset--orange and gold and lilac and purple and  fuchsia. The middle section represents the reflection of the sunset on the water and has deeper purples and blues.

Each of the three sections has multiple colors in it with some overlapping between them, so this is both a Splashed and Speckled colorway and a block variegated colorway. My son Joseph came up with this colorway, and I think it's stunning! I hope you enjoy creating with it.

I dyed it on Sparkly Merino Sock base, which is made of 92% superwash merino and 8% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.

The new Caribbean Sunset yarn is so lovely with wonderful bright colors. I ordered the Sparkly Merino sock. As soon as I finish my WIP, I'll be starting a shawl for me! The colorway is going to work up nicely. The yarn is so soft! I hope you'll consider having this available all of the time.
