Beowulf was inspired by the epic poem by the same name. It's the oldest known work of literature written in English. It's a dark, dramatic colorway that matches the heroic tale and the fight between good and evil. When I showed it to my older kids and told them the name, they all thought it was too pretty to be Beowulf, but we'll just call that an added bonus.
I dyed it on Squiggle Sock, which is such a fun yarn base made with superwash merino spun in a spiral around a nylon core and with little beehives or slubs every couple feet.

Beowulf would look great with Eggplant and The Winedark Sea.
I have included two photos of a hat I knit using Beowulf on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how it will work up. Keep in mind that this yarn base has more texture than Wonderful Worsted.
