I dyed Bedecked using a new dye technique, and when I finished dyeing it, my first thought was that it looked like all the beautiful gems like amethysts, rubies, sapphires, so I decided to name it Bedecked, thinking of the phrase, "Like a bride bedecked with her jewels" from Isaiah. That got me thinking of the glorious wedding between Arwen and Aragorn near the end of The Lord of the Rings, so there's a lot of imagery behind this colorway.
I created this colorway by dyeing most of the skein eggplant but leaving a section in the middle undyed and then filling it in with Burgundy Rose, Turquoise, Renaissance Blue, Lilac, and No Shrinking Violet.
I dyed this yarn on Squoosh DK, which is an incredibly soft and squishy yarn base made of 100% extra-soft superwash merino.
