This yarn was inspired by Sara Crewe, the main character in the wonderful children's classic, A Little Princess. In spite of her own deep sorrow and hardship, she manages to bring joy to those around her. This colorway is dedicated to all who have managed to do the same in spite of--or perhaps in light of--their own sorrow.
The yarn contains several shades of moody blues and mournful violets but has a section of bright cheerful fuchsia right in the middle of it.
I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique. I used my Sparkly Merino Sock base, which is made of 92% superwash merino and 8% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.
