This yarn was inspired by Jackson Pollock's painting, "Convergence." I love the dramatic rich colors in this yarn--and in the painting that inspired the yarn. They include gold, eggplant, red, orange, copper, and lilac.
I dyed it on Wonderful Worsted, which is a squishy and round 4-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more.
Jackson Pollock on Wonderful Worsted
218 yards / 3.5 ounces / 4 plies
100% superwash merino wool
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry
Jackson Pollock would look great with Cherries Jubilee, Eggplant, or Ochre.
The last photos show a hat I knit up in this colorway using Wonderful Worsted. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
