Imagine the sun coming out right after a big rain storm. The gray sky is still off in the distance, but the sunshine is making everything sparkle with fresh color. That was my inspiration for After the Rain. The colors include blue, lilac, green, burgundy rose, fuchsia, seafoam, and chartreuse.
I dyed it on Squiggle Sock, which is such a fun yarn base made with superwash merino spun in a spiral around a nylon core and with little beehives or slubs every couple feet.

I included two photos of a hat I knit using After the Rain on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how this can knit up. Keep in mind that that is a smooth base and doesn't have the squiggles of this one. :-)
