MONET'S CATHEDRAL on Sparkly Merino Sock

Regular price $28.00

This colorway was inspired by one of my favorite paintings by Monet: "The Portal of Rouen Cathedral in Morning Light." Here's a link to the painting. He spent two years painting the same cathedral at different times of day, and some have called it the ultimate series in Impressionism.

The colors include dark blue, medium blue, soft lavender, eggplant, and a bit of chartreuse with a generous amount of speckles.

I dyed this on my Sparkly Merino Sock base, which has just enough sparkly lurex to really show up without making the yarn itchy.

YARN PAIRINGS
This yarn would go beautifully with Renaissance Blue, Annunciation Blue, Monet's Water Lilies, Monet, Lilac, or Eggplant.

YARN SWATCH
I included a couple photos of a hat I knit up in this colorway using Quick and Cozy Bulky. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
