Jean Valjean is one of the colorways I created using Les Miserables as my inspiration.
Jean Valjean is the hero of Les Misérables. At the beginning, this extraordinarily strong man is in prison for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his sister and her children. After being released on parole, he is unable to find work because of having been in prison.
Once again in desperation, he attempts to steal from a bishop, but the good bishop catches him and makes a gift of what Jean Valjean had intended to steal. Because of that experience, he decides to spend his life doing good and does so. However, all the while he is being sought by Javert.
I could go on and on, but I'll stop there. I dyed Jean Valjean's colorway in red for passion, purple for his self-sacrificing nature, gold for his goodness of heart, blue for loyalty, white for virtue, and black for the darkness of his life.
I dyed Jean Valjean on Sock Perfection, which is made of extra-soft superwash merino as well as nylon.
Jean Valjean on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Jean Valjean would look great with Javert and Cosette.
MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
