DESCRIPTION
This colorway was inspired by Jane Fairfax, the quiet niece of the talkative Miss Bates in Emma who appears to be nothing more than prim and proper but actually has become secretly engaged to a man who isn't free to marry her, leaving her future very unsure. I made her colorway lilac for romance, gray for the difficulties in her situation, and blue for her loyalty to a man who, in my opinion, doesn't deserve it.

The yarn is priced per skein.

YARN PAIRINGS
Jane Fairfax would look great paired with Lilac, North Wind, or Mithril.

PROCESS AND PACKAGING
Each skein of yarn is spun or dyed by me with loving care and contains a label with the yarn facts shown above. Your yarn is wrapped in tissue paper and shipped promptly, making a great presentation if you are giving it as a gift to your favorite fiber artist--even if that happens to be you!

HANK OR CAKE
Unless otherwise specified, your yarn will come as a hank, which is basically a large loop. This is the best way to store yarn because there’s no tension being placed on it. Before you begin to use it, however, you will need to wind it into a ball or cake or you will end up with a tangled mess. The best way to do this is with a swift and ball winder. However, you can use the arms of a patient friend or just put your yarn over two dining chairs back to back and wind it into a ball by hand. If you don’t have a swift and you plan to use the yarn fairly soon, I would be happy to wind your yarn into a cake for you at no extra charge. Just mention it in your note to seller when you check out.

MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order.  Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
