Kingfisher was inspired by both the beautiful bird and the poem "As Kingfishers Catch Fire" by Hopkins. I included a photo of the bird I used for inspiration. The yarn has predominantly bright blue and orange along with black and white. There are some other wonderful shades where the colors join.
I dyed this yarn on Squoosh DK, which is an incredibly soft and squishy yarn base made of 100% extra-soft superwash merino.

100% Extra-Fine Superwash Merino
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Kingfisher would look great with Little Black Dress, Objectivity, and Javert.
I have included a couple photos of a hat I knit using this colorway to give you an idea of how it can work up.
