Inspired by the our neighbor's lovely irises and the coming of spring, I created these purple iris art batts. It's amazing how many colors are actually in purple irises, isn't it? There are deep purple, lilac, soft yellow, white, bronze, gold, and the green stem and leaves. I used merino as well as muga silk and bamboo.
The last photos show this art batt as well as both the handspun and commercially spun hand-dyed versions of the same colorway I have made.
