These art batts may look like they are made of gold, silver, and bronze, but they feel unbelievably soft. They were inspired by The Lord of the Rings. Anduril is the name that Aragorn gave to the sword that was broken after it was reforged.
I used only the softest materials of gold silk, light silver alpaca, and bronze-colored bamboo fiber along with a sprinkling of gold angelina to add shimmer. These art batts will be incredible to spin into super soft yarn. These may be my only art batts with no wool!
Take a look at the last picture to see the yarn I made from them.
FYI, these would not work for felting because only 20% of the materials are feltable.
Weight: 2 ounces
Contents: 59% bamboo, 20% alpaca, 20% muga silk, and 1% angelina
Colors: Bronze, Silver, Gold
Carding Style: Carded once in thin strips
Uses: Spinning (not felting)
This would go beautifully with my English Country Dance art batts. They share several fiber "ingredients."
Each art batt is shipped to you in a lovely organza drawstring bag to prevent it from getting dusty until you are ready to use it. It also has a label to let you know what it's made of for future reference. This makes a great presentation if you are giving art batts as a gift to your favorite spinner or felter as well.
MY GIFT TO YOU
Also, as a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
