Mithril is a light silver color inspired by Bilbo and Frodo's mithril coat of chain mail in The Lord of the Rings. It was elvish silver. I dyed it on Donegal Sock, which is a really neat yarn base. It's made of 85% superwash merino and 15% yarn nebs in black, brown, and gray that retain their original colors when dyed, so it makes a great tweed fabric when it's knit, crocheted, or woven.
While this is a superwash yarn and therefore could be machine washed, I think it will last longer and look better if it is hand-washed because of the nebs.

MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
