FANGORN FOREST Spinning Fiber Batt

Regular price $18.00

Quantity Available: 12

These luxury art batts are a real treat to spin. They have so many different lovely soft and textural fibers.

Once again, I found myself turning to The Lord of the Rings for inspiration. Fangorn Forest is the forest with the ents that Merry and Pippin go into to get away from the orcs. It is ancient and mysterious.
These batts contain merino, alpaca, mulberry silk, muga silk, bamboo, and even some camel down. I'm also using teeswater locks for the very first time in these batts. This would make fantastic felt or amazing art yarn!

Most of the fibers are in multiple layers of thin stripes throughout the batts, but I kept all the locks on the top.

The last photo shows two of these batts spun up (by yours truly) into a worsted-weight thick-and-thin singles yarn.

These art batts are being featured in the summer 2020 issue of Spin Off Magazine!
