This yarn was inspired by Pagliacci, the Italian opera by Leoncavallo. It was inspired by a true and actually very dark story. The yarn has a rich elegance to it with mostly muted tones of blue, green, purple, pink, red, copper, and silver.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
N.B. I updated the recipe a little bit as of May 2022.
Pagliacci on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% extra-soft superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Pagliacci would look great with Eggplant, Renaissance Blue, Kristin Lavransdatter, Midsummer Night's Dream, and Paris.
