Beowulf was inspired by the epic poem. It's a dark, dramatic colorway that matches the heroic tale and the fight between good and evil. When I showed it to my older kids and told them the name, they all thought it was too pretty to be Beowulf, but we'll just call that an added bonus. ;-)
I dyed this yarn on So Silky Sock using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique.
Beowulf on So Silky Sock
437 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 Plies
50% Superwash Merino/50% Mulberry Silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Beowulf would look great with Eggplant and The Winedark Sea.
I have included two photos of a hat I knit in this colorway. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern you use and the yarn base as well.
